Mend The Hurt

A short Poem on International Men’s Day. Tuesday, 19 November

The society has been telling young boys

not to show emotion

and be laughed if did.

Next, they wonder 

how come many of the men 

cannot define what they feel.

In its try to mould into manhood;

men and boys are shackled in 

confused definitions.

So, what they need

is a bit of more understanding;

for they have childhood stories untold.

there are some scars, invisible

and needs love as healing.
